A system needs to be expanded to a higher ranked key section within the same the key section family.
PM8: All versions
PM8 systems have a main key section. That key section and all lower ranked key sections from the same family are available when assigning key codes.
When a system needs to be expanded to make use of more key sections in the same family, the system's main key section may be promoted. This makes the new key section and all lower ranked key sections available when assigning key codes.
This process does not change the key sections currently assigned to keys.
Do not uses this process when a system needs change to a completely different key section.
