The following ports must be open on your KM8 server for incoming traffic:
Port | Description |
---|---|
TCP 30650 | Database service |
TCP 30651 | License service |
The KM8 installation allows incoming traffic on both these ports on the Windows firewall for domain and private traffic, but not for public traffic.
If you use any other fire wall you must allow the two ports for incoming traffic.

If the KM8 tests fail, try turning your firewall off for the test to see if the issue is resolved - then you will be able to determine if there is a firewall issue.
If your workstation PC is configured to be on a public network you may need to open the port to public traffic, but this is a bad solution. It is better to reconfigure your workstation to be on a private network.
