Getting the key code from key cuts.

If you read a lock using a Lishi pick or similar, you can then use the InstaCode Find bitting
feature to find all possible key cuts for that vehicle for the cuts you have decoded.

For this example you use a Lishi pick on a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban door lock. If you have a look in the Lock positions
for this vehicle (See the picture below in the example under item #3) you will see that the door uses the last 7 positions out of the 10 positions on the key.
Search for the code series in InstaCode.
In the InstaCode search, select the manufacturer, model and year.
Then click the Do search
button.
The Matching series are shown.
Select the correct series (if there is more than one) and click Details
.
Now with the series open, click the Find bitting
button.
Enter the cuts that you know, then click Next
.
The Code
and Bitting
is shows. Note the highlighted 7 cuts that match your search.
Finally, click the Finish
button to accept the code and bitting and return it to the InstaCode series detail view.
