After the supply quantity of an item is entered and an outlet is selected on the Inventory Supply Event, upon releasing an invoice (draft), the error message Cannot allocate inventory - insufficient holding at outlet Part code "XXX" is shown.

After committing an inventory supply event with a supplying quantity recorded and an outlet selected, upon releasing an invoice, the error message is shown which stops you from releasing it.
This indicates that your stock level is lower than what you are supplying on the invoice.
To address the issue you can determine the correct stock on hand and perform a stock take of that item.
After performing the item stocktake you can proceed with the sale.
Inventory drop-down menu, choose Stocktake. Stocktake window appears.Add button to add a new stocktake record. Stocktake detail window appears.Add button to add the item for the stocktake. Add Item To Stocktake window appears.Select button to select and add the item from E-TS Inventory.Stocktake detail window, enter the New quantity at the correct outlet.Complete button to update the item's new quantity to your E-TS Inventory.On the
Stocktakedetail window, click theOKbutton is to save the stocktake as draft, which allows you to alter it later.
After clicking theCompletebutton the stocktake is saved and marked as complete and then can't be altered.
